Today I was browsing the Internet for some Windows Vista Stuff as I recently installed Windows Vista on my Laptop and i found this awesome list of Windows Vista Shell Shortcuts by EdHolloway.

In Windows Vista you can navigate to many of the system folders, such as the “Send To” folder by typing shell: (eg shell:sendto) in the Start/Search(aka Run) text box (See screen shot). The Tip is very useful in the sense that it beats the customary way of typing C:\Users\[UserID]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo\ to do the same thing.

This tip works for many of the folders and other system screens / apps, the complete list is below.

Everyone is aware of Picasa, the incredible and free picture sharing, editring, storing and the best picture manager software available on the web. The best thing that we know about is that it is powered by Google.

Also some time ago Picasa launched a photo sharing web service known as Picasa Web Albums

The service is often compared to other photo sharing services like Flickr. It allows users with Google accounts to store free pictures up to 250 MB of storage and allows a max storage of free 1000 wallpapers of 1600x resolution. Additional Storage space can be bought too However Flickr on the other hand allows users with Yahoo accounts to store unlimited number of photos with unlimited Storage.

Recently Picasa Web Albums have launched and introduced some new features which might attract new users to switch from Flickr to Picasa however Flickr still remains at the top of the list. The new features introduced by Picasa are:

• Picasa Video Upload: Anyone can now upload videos and digital camera videos through Picasa and can share them with their friends and family.
• Search and Tag Photos: Search across Photo Tags, Descriptions and Captions.
• Order Prints and Photo Products: Now you can order prints and photo products.
• Additional Languages: Picasa Web Albums now works across 18 other different languages.
• Email Notifications: Get email notifications when you get comments on your photos or when your favourite uploads new photos.
• Friend Linking: Now you can link to your favourite or friend galleries by adding a gallery to you ‘Linked Galleries’.
• Blog Integration: Now you can integrate a whole album to your blog or MySpace Profile easily.
• Get More Space: If you think 250 MB is not enough for you you can buy more storage space.
• Mac Photo Upload: Now you can upload photos from your Mac to Picasa Web Albums through iPhoto or through a standalone application.

Oh yes, You heard it loud and proud

Harry Potter 7: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows the 7th and last book in the Harry Potter Series is releasing this July. The book will be released on Saturday, July 21st 2007, just one week after the Harry Potter 5: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix hits the cinemas

The hardcover will sell for $39.99 with the deluxe edition being priced at $.65.00. The prices suggest that the book will be the longest in the series giving the Harry Potter Fans much delight however this could also be due to the fact that this is going to be the last book of the whole series

The release date has disappointed a lot of Harry Potter Fans because for them its the beginning of an end and seeing that the series is nearing its destiny makes HP Fans more emotional and sad.

Being a die-hard Harry Potter Fan myself I think that July will be The Magical Month as it will bring Harry Potter Fans delights followed by sorrows and grief.

I personally wish Jo continues Harry Potter Series even after the 7th book.

Recently i discussed about some of Orkut’s new features that were added in 2006-2007 in my Happy Birthday Orkut Post. But it seems that Orkut is on a competition run with MySpace. This looks so because its not even past 1 month hardly since the start of the new year and Orkut already comes up with a new feature;

Orkut Profile Videos

The feature shall allow users to add uploaded videos from Google Video and YouTube to their Orkut Profiles. The feature seems rich in the sense that Orkut users can gain more social experience now by sharing their daily life videos or videos that interest them.

The new added Orkut Video Page allows users to add videos as well as select Favourite Videos out of them ;). MySpace already had Video sharing feature from a long time.

So its just a matter of time when Orkut and MySpace become real competitors.
