MySpace to acquire PhotoBucket for $250 Million

There are hot deals going in the world's most visited social networking sphere : MySpace and it seems they have a lot to spend and a lot to gain with some exciting new tech deals coming up.

MySpace Puts a Hand on PhotoBucket

It has been recently revealed that the world's fifth most visited website and first most visited social network is planning to acquire Photobucket : World's most visited and most used photo sharing and photo storage service.

The Image Swiss Bank

Photobucket is the Image Swiss Bank for the Internet users which helps them store and share photos online. The great photo storage and photo sharing website is not only famous across MySpace but also across other social networking platforms such as Facebook, Bebo, Friendster, eBay, Craigslist, Blogger and Xanga.

The Photosharing service has made it this far in only a course of 4 years and it is estimated to have currently 41 Million registered users with with nearly 2.8 Billion Images stored on the site.

The Big Tech Deal

The deal is still at a hold and there are chances for it to still fall apart. It is a fact that 60 Percent of PhotoBucket site traffic comes from MySpace users who use the great photosharing service to store images and use on their MySpace profiles.

However last month due to a technical issue there was a dispute between the two great companies which caused MySpace to block outgoing traffic to PhotoBucket however due to fair negotiations the dispute diminished away and the two great companies are planning to set some high tech deals.
