  • Well, the idea is really good that you are giving away the rapidshare accounts for free. It should attract lot of people and comments. However, I think that you should also concentrate on picking up the winner yourself, after all a good comment is worth more chances of winning than a comment which just says "I'm IN"

    That's my opinion and its your contest, so you know better, what should be done next or what must not be done.

    Well, this kind of campaign is definitely a crowd puller. Many people use Rapidshare and a rapidshare account is worth its money.

    But there should also be a way to seperate wheat from chaff. You can most probably as TipsoSaurus says, include only quality comments. Or you can say the most number of quality comments across your all posts in this period, say 10th August - 25th August. This way, only serious people who appreciate the quality of posts and would like to see that the posts quality increases will comment.

    Right now, what would happen, as I currently do is, I read your posts on my RSS reader and then think to comment something, but then due to seer laziness, I dont comment.

    Use this oppurtunity to provide probably more interaction!!!

    I have been using rapidshare now for almost 3 years and I realy enjoyed it because of big share and always 100% uptime.     Rapishare is really important to me cause upload a lot of movies and music. I would have never guests it is a German One-click hosting site that operates from Switzerland. Im just hoping and praying that rapishare doesnt get sued amd shutdown cause its just my life. I would really like to recieve that premium account.

    For the past few years, I have been using Rapidshare to host my files on the Internet so that I always have a backup and also because it enables me to share the links with my friends so I can share my files with them.

    Rapidshare has very high uploading speeds and to me, it is the best file hosting website on the net.

    I also use Rapidshare to download files uploaded by other users willing to share. Downloading speeds are also super-fast, but the only thing that is a problem is the fact that I have to wait a long time after downloading large files before being able to download again.

    With a premium account you can download as many files as you want simultaneously with blazing speeds which is amazing.

    Although advices are the most unwanted things yet sometimes they are handy.... I have some if you donot mind...
    1. involving the users for writting content. Every user wishes to get involved in it. Why not let them supply contents and you can filter and edit and then publish
    2. Spam will always be there as long as connected to the NET. But please rethink about providing the Chatting facility as I can bet it is going to increase traffic to ur site mutifold.
    3. Giving the Rapidshare Account is only a temporary honypot solution. Make something which is permanant and has lasting impacton readers.

    I've been a fan of free downloading from the moment I got my computer, and I must say I've quite enjoyed it over the years, especially now. With today's economy kind of bad, funds are hard to come by. I think this campaign is a good way to allow people to get a chance to get files efficiently, as well as inspire people to maybe do the same kind of thing and help others out.

    Rapidshare has been a great source to me in getting a range of materials downloaded, from games to music to programs. Although the time wait hurts, you tend to appreciate the fact that you were able to get something for free even more =]

    I think and know rapidshare is the fastest, most conveniant and easiest file hosting website. It is at least twice as fast when compared to other file hosting sites and doesn't have popups and ads.

    The company who made the site is thoughfull as well as bright, thoughtfull since they give people the chance to share files as well as expanding their account time lengh the more people download. And bright since everyone likes to get something for free since not everyone has the money for everything, including people with a low budget, so they will most likely become a member to the site when they find several links to a program or movie they desire.

    Unfortunately i am one of these people and would be most apreciated if i could get this account for 30 days this way i could make it up to my kids for cancelling cable and download them some cartoon shows and programs that are expensive and cost over 100$ in stores such as microsoft office, for their later studies.

    i owe a lot to rapidshare. i have downloaded around 150 gb from rapidshare. so what i do is download from rapidshare, put the files on a direct link server nad post the direct links so that those who cant access rapidshare can use them and thus we can share things a lot. till now i have uploaded around 69 movies. a rapidshare premium account will eneble me to download more than i do now and much more conveniently and so it will be beneficial for the non-rapidshare users.. so i guess this is a really cool and great idea to give out rapidshare accounts for free.

    Hi, Rapidshare has been available for years and it has always been the number one choice for everyone wishing to upload a file to share or simply to download other shared files on their servers. When it comes to speed, Rapidshare offers amazing fast speeds for both downloaders and uploaders. Other file hosting sites like Megaupload have less features and the speeds are considerably slower. Rapidshare doesn't disappoint in any manner and it is very convenient. The only thing i dislike about the FREE rapidshare access is that you cannot download more than one file at the same time and you are stripped of many exclusive features that are only offered to premium users. So i would be very happy if i had a chance to win one of the accounts you're offering, thank you.

    I'd have to pay a million to get my files recovered by a specialist and downloading everything (12 GB) from Rapidshare would take me an infinity.

    Secondly, my comment. I would like to stress to you that I simply stumbled upon this page yet you're giving away free rapidshare accounts - something that loads of people would love to win!
    My suggestion? Promote the competition more. Maybe for next month (if you're running the comp again), have it that there is a requirement to post a link on another site with some information as long as it abides by that particular site's rules.

    I really do think that this kind of competition can draw thousands of people to your website, and if you promote it correctly then those thousands will come and continue to watch the site.

    Another suggestion, for you wanting more people to your site, have it where people need to check a particular page every day until a certain image or phrase appears. That way, people are coming to your site on a regular basis and will most likely bookmark it for example. When they see the image or phrase they can email you and you'll know those who were watching every day!
