Finally I am back and so is Sizlopedia. I have been really busy in the past couple of days. JohnChow made me jealous of his new blog design which is really amazing and I made a firm decision to make a unique styled web 2.0 theme for Sizlopedia and finally here it is in front of you all.
Free Professional Logo
I was very happy to know that Logo Design Works have selected Sizlopedia for their Free Professional Logo Design Project which is only available to top blogs. The lucky blog which gets selected for this great project is assigned a lead designer which makes 3 amazing logo design concepts for the blog. I asked my designer to redesign my old logo instead of making a totally new one. The final result was charming (as you can see above) and I really recommend their service to anyone who wants to get a professionally designed logo. I was lucky enough to get the logo for free which has an actual worth of $197 (Bronze Logo Design Package). I think that the new logo exactly reflects the content of my blog which is technology, blogging and Web 2.0 and I hope everyone likes it.
Sizzling Theme and Design
It all started on a dark and mysterious night when I came to know that JohnChow has now got a unique blog design. I headed over to his blog and the design (though very much over-crowded) really impressed me to the bits. Then I decided to make a unique blog design of my own (of course I did not have $599 to waste on a blog design) and worked almost 36 hours non-stop to bring before you this beauty. In this new theme I have carefully considered the presentation of my content and I think it looks brilliant. The theme uses very light blends along with some Photoshoped graphics to give the complete Web 2.0 unique look. I am still working on the footer and trying to optimize the theme for Google Adsense.
Sizlopedia 2.0
The new theme along with the professional logo combined is now known as Sizlopedia 2.0 and shall remain the unique identity of Sizlopedia from now on (unless I don't envy someone else again lol). I hope you enjoy the looks and please do report to me if you encounter any bugs or errors. Here is a sweet preview for my feed lovers.

Please feel free to share your views, whether negative or positive, on this new change

Sizlopedia is a technology blog created by Saad Hamid, a problogger from Pakistan.
I love the new logo, so super snazy! My logo has the artwork on the right side too and I think it helps attract eyes to the logo because it is not very common. They did a good remake.
The new wordpress theme is rocking too. I think overall it is very web 2.0ish, a lot less cluttery than JohnChow’s. Colors are a lot more friendly too. I’m glad you are still working on footer as atm it does need something. Only thing I would suggest needs a little somethin’ somethin’ is the top part “Featured, Popular Articles, etc” is to either change the colors of the top content or just make it standout to be different. It blends too much/makes it seem a little bland. But that is just me!
Good job! I do love the new look.
This theme looks extremely professional and good one. I was also thinking of changing after seeing John chow. Now you also have inspired me.
looks good mate I like it
GnomeyNewt Thanks for appreciating and liking the theme really. I have considered your point and I myself think that the top section needs a little makeover and I will be working on that soon. Thanks for your suggestions.
Nirmal Thanks buddy. I would love to see you make one new too
Arpit Jacob Thanks a lot man. Especially when a great designer like you appreciates my work then it really means I have done something unique
great theme . You changed by thinking that only a three coloum theme can display maximum content. Two column is also a great idea . Well, I think now i should also become serious in branding my website with a personal theme
. Congrats.
Kanak In my experience till now I have noticed that 2 column themes remain the best when it comes to full presentation of your content. 3 Column themes are good but they over expand on the theme and make it difficult for your readers to look what they have been looking for.
Anyways thanks for appreciating the new design. Good luck to you with your own
A very clean, neat, professional theme
Keep up the good work!
Haris Thank you
I like it. It’s simple, loads fast, and the content seems to be structured rather well. Seeing new designs like this make me jealous, but I’ll hold off on designing a new one for myself
Nice job
Jeffro Thanks and I am glad that you liked the design too like everyone else. I have checked your blog and as far I think you have got a really amazing Web 2.0 theme there
I love it! Well done!
Congrats! You’ve got an AWESOME theme here!
Thank you both Shankar and MiCCAS. I really can’t wait to show you the new footer.
Awesome work buddy , Looks very professional .
Nice job on the new theme buddy. Looks great.
Haha. I had the same feeling as well, so I redesigned my own site too. You’re site looks much better now with less clutter.

Sly I checked your blog theme and it looks really cool
Thanks for liking my current theme
I like the layout of the theme..specially the categories…The Logo is nice too
Its a great design, and colours blend well…and is easy on the eyes.
Just a small complaint, if i may say so…post content is barely visible above the fold. Because of your list of popular posts, all posts are pushed below.
Also, once the novelty wears down, and we get used to the list above, we’ll have to skip it, which isnt good. Why dont you place the lists just after the 1st post on index, and below the post on single page? wpdesigner.com has a hack for that, you’ll have to use DOMtab. it would look great for your blog.
i personally dont use it yet because of low quantity of good posts, but your blog has tons of good posts, so why not give it a spin?
TechZilo I really like your suggestion. I checked out the DOMtab hack and it looks brilliant. Perhaps in future I will try to implement it if I get time
