How to Play AVI Video Files on Mobile

divxmobile.jpg

The great feature of smartphones like LG Viewty and Nokia N95 etc is that you are able to enjoy high quality video display and can watch DVD movies, music videos and TV shows right on your mobile.

However the problem arises when you have a huge size DVD movie file on your computer and you want to transfer it to your mobile. Of course it will take a hell lot of time and resources to convert a full-length DVD movie to MP4 format and then transfer it to your mobile so today I have an application for your smartphone that will allow you to run AVI Video files on your mobile device out-of-the-box without any conversion.

DivX Mobile is an application for devices and smartphones to run and play AVI video files directly on mobile. This application is compatible with phones that run on Windows Mobile 2003+ or Symbian S60/ UIQ operating system. The device you wish to run this application on must have a minimum 200MHz processor speed.

It also has a great video file manager that allows you to manage videos on your mobile. Plus you can watch videos either in landscape or portrait mode.

For Nokia N95 Download DivX

and for other smartphones please visit the official DivX Mobile site.
