Today, Google launched the preview release of the new Google App Engine which is a way for developers to run their web applications on Google's infrastructure. Google has always provided useful tools for developers and with this new engine Google plans to make it easy for programmers to develop and run web applications.

Google App Engine will aid developers in creating and hosting web application just as Bloggers aids users in creating blogs easily and facilitates them in all possible manners. The good news is that Google will be providing developers with 500MB of free space along with the CPU and bandwidth to serve around 5 million monthly pageviews.

Google App Engine is free to use (during the preview release) and will provide limited computing resources to developers who want to run their web applications however in the future more computing resources can be purchased for a price.

The preview of this new engine by Google is available to the first 10,000 developers who sign-up and considering it is Google we are talking about here, I think its too late to sign-up but still for your satisfaction you can give it a try.
