HTC Touch Diamond Features and Specifications

HTC fans have finally got another touch-gadget to drool over and its none other than the HTC Touch Diamond which was recently announced by HTC at the May 6 HTC Event held in London. HTC Touch Diamond brings the prism-like look on the back that we have already seem in Nokia Prism and Sony Xperia.

HTC Touch features the latest HTC Touch 3D interface (codenamed HTC Manila). It is the first ever phone which is fully controllable through touch gestures even though it runs on Windows Mobile which is not considered a very touch-friendly OS.

HTC Touch Features and Specifications

Coming down to the features and specifications of HTC Touch Diamond, the phone looks really stylish however the processing speed of the device (as seen in a hands-on video) might not be equivalent to what users are expecting. The device does not feature multi-touch technology so categorizing it as an iPhone competitor is totally out of the question.

What we have more on board is a 2.8-inch VGA display, a built-in accelerometer which allows screen auto rotation. A GPS receiver, Wi-Fi and a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera. There is also a 4GB Memory, FM Radio and Bluetooth 2.0. It is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1, 528 MHz Processor and 192 MB DDR RAM.

Perhaps not the iPhone, but the HTC Touch Diamond will surely give Sony Xperia a tough competition in the market now as both are powered by Windows Mobile.
