Firefox 3.0 RC1 available for Download

It looks that we will soon be seeing the final face of Firefox 3 as Firefox 3.0 Release Candidate is now available for download. This is a public preview release intended for developer testing and community feedback. It includes new features as well as dramatic improvements to performance, memory usage and speed.

Firefox 3.0 Release Candidate brings a lot of new features and changes which are listed below:

  • Improvements to the user interface based on user feedback.
  • Changes and fixes for new features such as the location bar autocomplete, bookmark backup and restore, full page zoom, and others.
  • Fixes and improvements to platform features to improve security, web compatibility and stability.
  • Continued performance improvements.

More of the detailed features can be found here.

If you are an average user I would suggest you not to download this build yet as it is not 100% stable. However if you are a developer or a tester, you can download the Release Candidate build at the Firefox RC page.
