After an endless wait, Nokia has finally unveiled a new N-series phone that is finally ready to compete with the iPhone with its touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard.
Nokia N97 is successor to the N96 is the first ever touch-enabled N-series device that runs on the Symbian S60 5th edition. According to Nokia's official press release, the Nokia N97 is the world's most advance mobile computer specially designed to meet the needs of Internet-savvy consumers.

The Nokia N97 competes with the iPhone neck to neck in features and functionality. Here is a look at some of its specifications.

- 360 x 640 screen resolution
- QWERTY keyboard with haptics

- GPS with Nokia Maps 3.0 app

The focus in Nokia N97 is the new desktop widgets feature which allows user to syndicate data in real-time through various social networks. Widgets made by third-party developers shall be readily available for download via the Downloads app in Symbian OS.
The N97 also features the quick contacts feature which we already witnessed in the XpressMusic 5800, also known as the Nokia Tube. The QWERTY keybaord accessible through the 30° flip mechanism gives it a little Xperia look but after all what Nokia N97 has to offer, a bit of plagiarism shall definitely be allowed.

I know am gonna get my hand on it as soon as it comes out, but don’t you guys think that the whole interface is copied from iPhone…I mean you have seen the music player and picture browsing they are both same like iPhone, iPhone still stands alone coz n97 will come and go in few months till its other models will come out. But iPhone still will keep standing alone.

oh my God. This phone is a more than any other phone i’ve ever seen or handled. The memory is very large and yet it supports the use of a memory card. Please lets leave iphone for now for this phone is more than the apple phone.
