Its here! the new iPhone 3.0 firmware by Apple that will bring wonders to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The update was pushed by Apple a couple of minutes ago and users all around the world are now able to download it to their iPhone and iPod Touch devices. Though, we are still waiting for a word from iPhone Dev Team so the users running and unlocked iPhone should not update their device yet.

    I downloaded the ipsw file and when I try to restore on my mac the latest version of itunes 8.2 says that the firmware file is not compatable. Is there any way to make this work on mac? I read that that’s only for PCs

    This is awesome and my friend has an iPhone, but not an Apple iPhone (some local market phone).. and it doesn’t have any firmware upgrade feature (saves a lot of time) :D
