Borderlands is the latest and much anticipated RPG (Role Playing Game) from Gearbox Software. If you're still thinking as to whom they are then this might help, they are the creators of the Brothers In Arms franchise.

The game Borderlands has been planned to come out on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC systems. The game itself is featuring an amazing visual style and has a Fallout 3 theme to it. Which is good since Fallout 3 was a big smash hit and I personally found the game amazing.
However, there's one thing in this game that has been done for the first time, this new element is unique and seems far fetched. Borderlands is said to feature over 650,000 useable weapons.
Randy Pitchford, co-founder of Gearbox, said:
“650,000 guns is the safe number. We’ve now got some other new types of weapon classes and a lot of different weapon manufacturers and we have created a bunch of super rare and unique epic weapons and other gear, so the actual number of different weapons in the game is quite a bit higher than that. There are more weapons in Borderlands than in every shooter on both the 360 and PS3 added together.”
Pitchford explained as to how the game can include so many weapons. He said that the schematics are procedurally generated by part of the game’s AI, meaning each weapon is created out of a stock box of parts like Lego, only deadlier. The whole idea seems amazing yet I still have doubts on it.
The only way to check this claim out is to play the game when it comes out in October this year. 2K Games officially announced today that the game would hit North America on October 20th and UK on October 23.
Here are some screenshots of the game just to get your blood running.
