Preview of the Apple Tablet OS in Action

This is obviously fake but a proof-of-concept video of the rumor that the Apple Tablet OS will share it’s core with the iPhone OS. The video has been published by a French site named BeGeek.fr as a mockup for the upcoming Apple Tablet/iSlate OS

As in the video, the Apple Tablet OS will supposedly run the iPhone apps as widgets with a dock in the bottom that will hold icons for all the apps. This relates to the image mockup for the Apple Tablet OS as seen below.

Much of rumors we have been following about the Apple Tablet lately suggest the same. Perhaps Apple has put a pause to pushing out iPhone OS updates since it is preparing to launch the iPhone OS 4.0 and since that contains elements in common to the Apple Tablet OS so Apple wants to avoid dropping any hints before time.

It is a no-brainer that the Apple Tablet OS will have something in common to the iPhone OS, may that be the App Store or the whole UI itself. Look forward to January 27th as it marks the day when all the questions will be answered at the Yerba Buena Arts Center. [via RP]
