Finally we know that the long-rumored Apple Tablet is actually an iPad running a variant of the iPhoneOS with a 9.7 inch IPS multitouch display and a 10-hour of active battery life.

Here is a video of Steve Jobs announcing the iPad. According to him the device will fill the gap between a smartphone and a laptop device providing a much user-friendly and fun experience to do email, watch videos and photos and surf the web.

Also what makes the iPad so powerful as a consumer device is that it will run all of the 140,000 apps already supported on the iPhone. And the new iBook and iWork app, make the iPad the perfect e-reader and document processor. The video below demonstrates the capability of the device.

The device will be available in late March in two configurations: WiFi and WiFi + 3G and will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models.

apple ipad luks gr8 but it cant b used for long duration because it has got a touch screen.i got my self an apple ipod it worked for not more than an year!:(

I was really disappointed by apple for the first time in my life. I was hoping that they would put MAC OS snow leopard or something. But the iphone Os is not good.
