This may sound a bit shocking but Microsoft Bing replaced the search engine giant, Google, in Motorola’s Chinese Android phones. Yesterday, Motorola announced a “global” alliance with Microsoft Corp to replace Google services from there Android based phones in China.

This means that consumers will be able to enjoy a pre-loaded Bing bookmark and map services and an integrated Bing search widget in their mobile phones. They called the deal a global one without putting light on whether it will replace Google in other countries or not.

“We believe that consumer choice is one of the most critical components to ensuring a rich and seamless client experience,” said Christy Wyatt, corporate vice president of software and services, Motorola Mobile Devices. They also announced that they will release updates for the devices that are already present in the market.

In another press release, Microsoft’s senior VP of Online services division said, “Mobile devices continue to be a critical place for customers to access location-based services such as local search and mapping. We are pleased to expand our long-standing relationship with Motorola to bring powerful Bing location-based services to Motorola’s innovative new mobile devices, providing consumers with more choice and flexibility in mobile search”.

Many people speculate that this deal may cause a loss of market share for Google services, as Bing may replace Google powered services in Motorola’s upcoming devices in other countries as well.
