Opera Software, the Norwegian company well known for its Opera browser, has finally submitted the Mini Browser, iPhone version to Apple's app store for approval. The news had been going around the tech waves for quiet sometime after the company showed the browser's prototype at the Mobile World Congress held back in February. The company was on the run to promote and create awareness of the product to grab much attention from the users worldwide.

Opera Software seems pretty relaxed and convinced that Apple would approve the version due to its unmatched speed compare to other browsers including Apple's own Safari. According to experts, the browser when given a test, has proven six times faster than the Apple's Safari browser. The browser is already used by 50 Million users worldwide and users rely on it due to fast processing. The intelligent browser uses a proxy server to compress, reformat and present the webpages, which is the technique behind increased speeds.

This compression technique is found successful as the browser consumes less data which is an advantage for users who are charged for the bandwidth they use. The support for tabs and speed dial would hopefully attract iPhone users and making a decision to switch.

The Opera Mini 5, iPhone version, looks pretty much the same as the Opera Mini browser on other mobiles. An addition, the browser has been provided the feature of 'session restore' which would reload browsers from the previous session if situation arises on restarting the iPhone or closing down the application. The browser has been coded on C programming language to comply with the rules of Apple, which cuts short those apps not abiding rules and regulations.

While Opera seems pretty convinced, some senior analyst predict that the browser will not be approved. Apple authorities were contacted to comment which resulted to a 'No Comment' answer.
