This week has been quite an incredible and pleasant one specially if you are a mobile phone enthusiast, since it featured the CTIA event which was full of major mobile phone announcements such as the HTC EVO 4G, Samsung Galaxy S Phone and so on. Guess who launched HTC EVO 4G? It was none other than Peter Chou, the CEO HTC. It turns out that Mr Chou was not only there to announce the first 4G device. He had some Windows Phone 7 news as well.

Peter Chou revealed that HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 device is coming by the end of 2010, a news that many had been impatiently waiting for. Unfortunately, that was as far as the  CEO went regarding his company’s plan for the next iteration of Windows Mobile devices.

The CEO, however did praise the efforts that Microsoft put into Windows Phone 7 and seemed pretty upbeat and excited about the changes that the Redmondians  incorporated into their next mobile platform. He stated:

They're putting in tremendous effort to make Windows Phone 7 very appealing and competitive

As you can tell from the statement, the CEO is pretty much happy with the proceedings  which possibly is an indication of us getting to see more Windows Phone 7 Series devices from the Taiwanese cell phone manufacturers in the not so distant future. By the way have you guessed the name of the first Windows Phone 7 device that HTC will launch by the end of this year.
