Apple, as part of its ongoing practice to roll out Beta version of its upcoming iPhone OS 4.0 has rolled out the third beta for the OS that promises to bring multi-tasking and much more to its lovable audience. The firmware, as per the tradition brings some new features that will definitely excite one and all.

First up on the line is the introduction of a useful iPod widget that will let you get on your music ways right from the multi-tasking bar. All you need to do is swipe to the left of the bar and you will get iPod launching icon, and other music related controls. One thing which has caught my interest is the screen orientation lock that allows you to lock the screen in portrait mode.
Also with iPhone 4.0, you will get to do file sharing the way you have always liked it to be. Just plug the device into your computer, launch iTunes and scroll down on the Apps page to get on with the file transfer activity. The firmware is available for download from Apple's Developer Center.
