HP Hurricane: The New Tablet Computer with WebOS

Recently HP bought webOS. As soon as that acquisition took place, there was a strong feeling among the IT community of HP rolling out a webOS powered tablet. Well that rumor might turn out to be true. An HP Insider has tipped the Examiner that the PC makers are indeed working on an webOS based Tablet.

HP folks have given their upcoming Tablet a cool code name in HP Hurricane. HP's first webOS tablet could see daylight in the 3rd quarter of the current running year. The question which is important here is this - will the tablet able to create a hurricane like situation in the sales department and justify HP's purchase of webOS.

Los Angeles Analyst considers the Tablet to be a promising gadget

If rumors of this tablet are true, this can be a killer device--webOS is an outstanding operating system for a tablet.

Unfortunately the more interesting details such as the specs of the device are yet to be made public, but something tells me it won't be too long before we get our hands on the specs.
