Apple Previews iOS 4.2 for iPad with Multitasking, AirPlay and Printing

The second of the biggest announcements at the Apple Media Event 2010 is iOS 4.2 for the iPad and all iOS devices with new features such as Multitasking, AirPlay and Printing.

Multitasking for the iPad will allow iPad users to switch through multiple applications and even run apps like music in the background. Unfortunately! no support for dashboard on iPad was revealed.

The next big thing is AirPlay, the new name for AirTunes, which allows you to stream music, videos right from your computer to your iPad over Wi-Fi. The third significant feature is Wireless Printing which allows the user to print a document right over the air.

The iOS 4.2 will be available for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch this November.
