Some people may have problems with the iTunes 10 logo, except for Steve Jobs but that doesn't mean people don't love the new iTunes 10. Why I say that? Well, according to Apple, Ping, the social facet of iTunes 10 is a hit among the users as its subscriber base has gone past the 1 million mark.

Here is another interesting bit to this development - it took just 48 hours (2 days) to achieve this milestone. But is it really impressive? If you consider the iTunes user base which is 160 million (with credit card accounts that is), then this achievement might not sound that impressive. But one should not look at this milestone perspective since only 3 million folks downloaded the iTunes 10 as discussed in the Apple PR:
One-third of the people who have downloaded iTunes 10 have joined Ping, said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of Internet Services. As many more people download iTunes 10 in the coming weeks, we expect the Ping community to continue growing.
Ping, in case you forgot is a music inspired social network which gives its users a platform to follow fellow friends and artists and discover the music they are listening to and downloading.
