Apple has really been active during this week. All of this started with the roll out of iOS 4.1 and then it just went on.The Cupertinos on Thursday, relaxed its third party development tool guidelines which as many predicted was welcomed by the developer community with a big smile on their face. Adobe is part of that happy camp is extremely delighted about this development, as you will notice in their official reply, as it gives them the green signal to bring Flash onto the iPhone.

Here's the official statement:

Apple's announcement today that it has lifted restrictions on its third-party developer guidelines has direct implications for Adobe's Packager for iPhone, a feature in the Flash Professional CS5 authoring tool. This feature was created to enable Flash developers to quickly and easily deliver applications for iOS devices. The feature is available for developers to use today in Flash Professional CS5, and we will now resume development work on this feature for future releases.

It is worth mentioning here that Adobe stopped working on the Packager for iPhone feature in light of the restrictions imposed by Apple against using it for developing apps and submitting it to the App Store. But that is all a thing of the past now. What matters is that Flash enabled apps are being entertained by Apple. It is worth mentioning here that Apple still disapproves of using Flash for browsing purposes on their iOS enabled devices.
