When HTC announced the big brother of HTC Desire, the HTC Desire HD, HTC fanatics all around the world had one question in their mind - When will the 4.3 inch long smartphone arrive in their region? This very important question has been answered for the Australian based Android lovers. HTC Desire HD is coming down under with Vodafone and 3 playing the telecom operator role.

Both the carriers will start selling the European version of HTC Evo at some point during the month of October. Even with the release date missing, one thing is for sure both the carriers will be looking to unleash the Android 2.2 powered sensation earlier than the other.
Based on Vodafone Australia's previous pricing model, there is a chance of HTC Desire HD being offered by the carrier free on selected plans. This will be Vodafone's fifth Android handset. HTC Legend, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini, and LG Optimus are the other four Android phones that Vodafone has stocked previously.
