Twitter moves towards Advertising Solutions with Launch of Revamped Guide for Businesses

Ads

Twitter, the popular micro-blogging service is now know worldwide and has attracted a huge amount of users in an amazingly short span of time, with around 25 billion tweets being sent this particular year only, it can easily be said that Twitter is now a global phenomena. This network is used by all sorts of people, from companies to celebrities to politicians; nearly every major personality has made their way on this social network. Many people use it for growing their presence on the service, and for that purpose, Twitter has revamped its Business Center to provide plenty of advice to such users.

Twitter’s all new Business Center will provide plenty of advice to people who aim to increase their presence on the service, tips for the integration of its API into websites and also for the usage of widgets and resources will be given as well.

What makes the new Business Center so interesting is the advertising section which is now accessible to anyone using the service. It features a form through which businesses and organizations can express their interest in Promoted Tweets, Trends or Products. This form allows users to set an estimated monthly budget that can vary from less than $10,000 to as high as $100,000+, meaning that this service is geared more towards businesses, as previously mentioned, or not-for-profit organizations.

The drawback to this whole scenario is that this isn’t the window of opportunity for the average Joe looking to buy ads on Twitter, considering the fact that Promoted Tweets or Trends are still in beta and are only available to a select group of advertisers, this form would just let Twitter know of an interested party, rather than allow them to buy ads easily on the network. The from once completed presents a “page not found” error, which proves that this is just a trial run by Twitter.

For businesses and organizations have the luxury of buying Promoted Tweets or Trends on Twitter can be very enticing, we’ll just have to see how popular Twitter’s advertising platform becomes.
