Since the Windows Phone 7 has suddenly become a rage in the market as it has recently surpassed the 1.5 million device sale, check out the full story here, Facebook has updated its app for the Windows Phone 7 as well, bringing photo tagging and Facebook Places.

Version 1.1 of Facebook for Windows Phone 7 features places and photo tagging, and is available in the Marketplace as of now, however the app still lacks a rather crucial feature which is present in the iPhone and Android apps, Facebook Chat.

Push Notifications is also another crucial feature that has been omitted from the Windows Phone 7 update, meaning that this particular app is way behind its iPhone and Android counterparts and surprisingly, live tile featuring is missing as well, which certainly is the defining element for the Windows Phone 7 platform

Obviously, Windows Phone 7 users would definitely not be happy that they will not be getting the chat and push notifications features, but on the bright side, the update still brings two new features for them.

Facebook for Windows Phone 7 version 1.1 is now available for download free of cost via the Marketplace.
