We previously reported that the iPhone Dev-Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.6rc7b bringing one click booting support for iOS devices running a tethered jailbreak. Follow all the steps in this tutorial carefully to instantly boot your tethered iPhone, iPad or iPod touch using Redsn0w for Windows.

Step One
On your Desktop, create a Pwnage folder and in it place:
● RedSn0w 0.9.6rc7b
● Your iPhone firmware ipsw

Step Two
Extract the Redsn0w archive.

Step Three
Press the Windows and R key to open the Run dialogue box and input cmd and click OK to launch the Command Prompt.

Step Four
Input the following command for devices with the new bootrom:

%homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7\redsn0w.exe -j -i %homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

Input the following command for devices with the old bootrom (iPod 2G, iPhone 3GS):
%homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7\redsn0w.exe -j -o -i %homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore.ipsw

Important: remember to change the filename to the filename of the ipsw you downloaded in Step One.

Step Five
RedSn0w will now launch and instruct you on placing your iPhone into DFU mode if it isn't already, and boot your device, however, it is important that you click next ONLY if your device is BOTH plugged in and turned off.

This should take care of everything, enabling you to enjoy the one click booting procedure from now onwards on your tethered jailbroken iOS device.

I am sure this will help many users but cmd pops up with this when I typed all the stuff:

‘UsersJonas’ was now recognized as an internal or external command, program or batch file. Might this have something to do with that I have a space in my PC username?
