New Video Shows iPad Multitouch Gestures Working On iPhone 3GS

Following reports that Apple is internally testing the multitouch gestures option for the iPhone, a chap by the name of Antoni Nygaard has managed to get the new iPad multitasking gestures and lock/mute switch working on his iPhone 3GS. Details and video after the break.

So it looks like in the current iOS 4.3 Beta releases we’ve had up till now, multitasking gestures for the iPhone 4 and 3GS do exist, however these Beta releases are developer only, and if you are not an Apple Developer, chances are you’ll probably have to wait till Apple comes out with iOS 5 later this year.

However yesterday Apple has confirmed that it will not be including multitasking gestures for iPad in the final release of iOS 4.3, and looks like this may be the case for the iPhone as well. Looks like multitasking gestures is going to be the defining and major feature of the next iPhone.
