An Italian blog called iPadevice claims that one of their reader, DjBeppee, seems to have been able to get FaceTime working on a jailbroken iPad, running iOS 4.3 Beta 3. Details on that, after the break.

The interesting thing to note here is that the graphics of the FaceTime application are perfectly optimized for the 1024×768 resolution of the iPad, further fueling rumors that the yet to be released iPad 2 will be having the same resolution as the original Apple iPad.

So what this actually means is that the iPad 2 will indeed be featuring two cameras, which have been said to be similar to the 4th gen iPod touch ones. Moreover, FaceTime on iPad looks somewhat similar to the FaceTime application for Mac OS X.

Also, as FaceTime is coming up in the beta releases of iOS 4.3, it looks like the iPad 2 release will occur with iOS 4.3 being the software version. However, rumors aside, there still is no official release date from Apple, but given the amazing specifications of iPad 2 that have been rumored, we can hardly wait to finally get our hands on it.
