Apple To Revamp Notification System of the iOS

According to a CultofMac report, Apple is supposedly working on a new notification system for the iOS and may also be acquiring a small company in order to use its technology for revamping the largely criticized notification system of the iOS.

However, when an email was sent to App Remix’s CEO Jonathan George asking whether the company was going to be bought by Apple, he responded "No  comment…"

Apple’s pop-up notification system for new text messages, voicemails and the like has often been criticized as one of the weakest parts of the iOS. Notifications are intrusive, modal and often cryptic. It’s a mess.

True, that the notification system of Android, WP7 and even HP's webOS are appreciated more than that of the iOS. However, it looks like that may change once Apple rolls out iOS 5 alongside the iPhone 5, hopefully this summer.
