While the world awaits the upcoming iPad 2 launch event, they also wait to be surprised by Apple as it may offer "near immediate" delivery of the iPad 2 after the iPad 2 launch event. However, according to an AppleInsider report, initial supplies of the iPad 2 might probably be limited at launch due to production issues with a new ultra-thin glass screen. Hit the break for more details.

Bill Shope with Goldman Sachs said in a note to investors this week that sources in Apple's overseas supply chain have indicated that the iPad 2 may be affected by production difficulties. These alleged problems could result in limited supply available at launch, for a surprising product availability.
We all know of Apple's bid to push the boundaries of technology far beyond what the normal consumer can imagine and this might be the reason why the iPad 2 ultra thin glass screen may prove to be generating yield issues. This doesn't mean that the issues are due to technological difficulties, rather it is believed to be more of a process problem, and obviously, Apple won't let it get in its way to sheer tablet market domination. So see, production volumes of the Apple iPad 2 may hike up soon after the launch.
Once again, I'll say what I always do in these situations: Unless and until there is no official word from Apple itself, we can not be entirely sure of this situation.
Anyhow, we'll be reporting extensively on the iPad 2, so stay tuned!
