The next generation of Apple products are gradually coming our way. Apple iPad 2 was announced earlier this week and its going to be a big phenomena, hopefully. Now, as previously there were reports of the white iPhone 5 ever before the white iPhone 4 had ever materialized, we now have a new report claiming that Apple may be ditching the glass back on the iPhone 4, for an aluminium back on the iPhone 5. Hit the jump for more details.

Taiwan’s Economic Daily News reports that Apple is going to ditch the glass back it has on the iPhone 4, for an aluminium back on the upcoming iPhone 5, like the one it had when the original iPhone launched back in 2007. Meaning that the iPhone 5 will be similar in design, at least from the back, to the 4th gen iPod touch.
The report also claims that Apple will be redesigning the antenna on the iPhone 5, to avoid antenna issues that arose on the iPhone 4. It has been said that the antenna will be designed behind the Apple logo on the iPhone 5, allowing the Wi-Fi and cellular signals to pass through easily.
The rumoured dual-core processor touting iPhone 5 is expected to be released at WWDC 2011, this summer, similarly as it has been previously.
Stay tuned as we'll bring you more updates about the iPhone 5, as they come in.
